Within 5 miles of Kismet sit the following small towns and villages.

Naizin.

2 miles from the gîtes sits the local Leisure park of Naizin, where you can walk around the lake or, if you are feeling more energetic, follow the instruction signs telling you when to do your sit ups etc. Still have some energy left? Why notPlay Area take out a pedalo to enjoy the lake. If that’s too much you can enjoy a game of Crazy golf, also offered is a small playground for children. If you have left over baguette then why not take this along to feed the deer, peacocks or the other small animals kept in the special enclosure.

Continue into Naizin to pick up your daily baguette or special pastries from the local boulangerie. Enjoy a meal at the local crêperie: a speciality of the area.

Réguiny.

There are two museums; Musée de l’écurie (museum of the horse) sits 2 miles from the gîtes: an eclectic mixture of anything to do with horses and farming implements, and Musée “Les Sanglots Longs” (the long sadness) which houses wonderful artefacts from the world wars. Réguiny was an important centre of occupation during the Second World War, find out about this and also of Father Gwénaël who gave shelter to many of the resistant. http://lessanglotslongs.chez.com/

Réguiny also offers restaurants and boulangires, as well as a large swimming pool. You can also take a lovely long walk around the lake: only 3km in total so a nice gentle stroll to get your appetite ready for a 2 hour traditional lunch.

Locminé sits north of Naizin. It is a slightly larger town with several large supermarkets and its own Thursday morning market.

The lake of the Bois d'Amour offers a pleasant setting for all walkers. Where children can have fun on the playground and monkey bridge. There is also a large sports hall where you can cycle, skate, or play basketball. Nearby to this hall is another sports area that offers 4 tennis courts. Locminé is twinned with Pontardawe (Swansea).
